Calling your supermarket and food manufacturer has been very successful in Europe leading to all major supermarket chains and food producers (even Nestle!) to go ge-free. You would be amazed how much notice they take of your call. Consumers' opinion is paramount to them and every call, mail or letter they see as representative of a bigger part of the popuplation. Just ask them

1) Are your products ge-free? 2) Can you guarantee that also your animal products are not from animals that have been fed GE-fodder? (This happens a lot, especially when a crop wasn't approved for human consumption.) 3) Are the enzymes you use genetically modified? Write a letter to your local, regional, State and federal politician

In terms of effectiveness, petitions are topped by e-mails, printed letters and at the top are handwritten ones. According to how much time an individual has spent for this matter they calculate the importance of the issue in the opinion of the general public. They generally say one individually handwritten letter is worth 100 printed ones! So, by just spending 15 mins writing an individual letter by hand, your opinion can weigh heavily to our election-vulnerable politicians ( and of course opinion-conscious companies)!

Inform your friends and family with the support of our materials or by organising an information talk we could hold (and eg show a film)! Form you own group with the help of us or our materials. You could also take a specific focus on the issue eg your ethnic community ( an Italian group is already translating materials and putting on events), a parents', women's, farmers', doctors' or any other professional group.
